Situated in the picturesque lowcountry of Charleston, South Carolina lies a beautiful, timeless property. With a soul as old as its magestic oaks, Toogoodoo Plantation possesses a rare quality that is gentle, romantic, comforting and spiritual.  Neighboring the Atlantic Ocean and the Toogoodoo River, it is just 20 miles from downtown Charleston.

While its open fields are witness to spectacular views of nature, the main entrance is graced with a canopied driveway of ancient angel oaks. Two oaks are well over 1,400 years old, one which is 28 feet in circumference, and is marked as the largest single stem oak in the state of South Carolina. Magnolia trees and fuschia azaleas also frame the long driveway.

Established in the early 1700's, the original home was destroyed by the Torries.  The third home presently occupies the original site. The doors of Toogoodoo Plantation have now opened briefly for one to walk into this idyllic setting. Its prime location on 144 acres is perfectly suited for an equestrian environment or one acre zoned single family residences.  Toogoodoo Plantation is one of the few remaining plantations left which is impossible to duplicate.

"I have found my stride along the coast of Carolina."
